Havan Puja

Havan, derived from the Sanskrit word "havana," meaning to offer oblations, is a sacred fire ritual performed by devotees to invoke the presence of the divine, seek blessings, and purify the environment. The ritual involves the kindling of a sacred fire (agni) in a specially constructed altar (kunda), into which offerings such as ghee, grains, herbs, and wood are made while chanting sacred mantras and prayers. Havan is not merely a physical act of worship; it is a spiritual practice that fosters a deep connection between the devotee and the divine, purifying the mind, body, and soul.

Fire symbolizes the divine presence and serves as a conduit for communication between the earthly realm and the celestial realms. It represents the transformative power of divine energy that purifies and sanctifies all that it touches.

The havan kunda (fire altar) is prepared by arranging bricks or stones in a specific pattern, and the fire is kindled using sacred wood or ghee.
